Pokka Reindeer Hides is an esteemed family-run enterprise founded by Olavi Pokka in 1969. In 2001, the company’s activities were taken on by the family’s son, Harri Pokka together with his wife Mariela Pokka. The company was named Lapin Nahka Oy, Pokka Reindeer Hides.

The corporate idea of Pokka Reindeer Hides is to provide high-quality reindeer hides for interior decoration purposes, as well as sorted semi-finished products for the leather industry taking into consideration individual requirements of the client. We cherish traditional production methods and focus on high quality and first-class work. Each of our decorative hides is skilfully prepared by hand, with machined assistance used during various stages of the work.

Pokka Reindeer Hides distributes its products to Finnish and foreign retailers and importers direct from its factory located at the Arctic Circle. Pokka Reindeer Hides is the world’s leading producer of decorative reindeer hides: our sales network covers over 35 countries.

is a family-run business founded in 1969 that currently employs approximately 20 employees. We invest into the training and expertise of our employees. We want to work in the northern region, which is where the majority of our raw materials are sourced. Quality and continual improvement are our intrinsic values and each hide is subjected to a strict quality control inspection before being sent to the customer.

As quality naturally commences

in the very initial stages of the chain, before the hide even reaches us, we have shared our expertise and professional skills with a number of suppliers in Finland, Scandinavia and the Barents region. Working together with our various stakeholder groups we also train the suppliers in the chain. Acting in this way we ensure high-quality raw materials are used to made first-class products.
